Woman from Muminobod district accused of selling her baby for 100 U.S. dollars

She reportedly sold her newborn baby to a 57-year-old woman from the Muminobod district for 1,050 somoni (equivalent to little more than 10.00 U.S. dollars).

The 25-year-old mother was reportedly detained last month in the course of their operational and investigative activities.  

The 57-year-old woman who bought the baby and the 44-year-ld suspected broker from the Vose district were also detained.  An investigation is under way.
