Road accident involving 10 cars occurred on the Dushanbe-Khujand highway. A woman died
The second fatal road accident happened in Gorno-Badakhshan.
A road traffic accident occurred on September 14 at about 18:30 on the 65th km of the Dushanbe-Khujand highway in the Maykhura area of the Varzob district, the press secretary of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of Tajikistan, Lieutenant Colonel Umeda Yusufi told Asia-Plus.
According to her, the driver of a Dulan Khova truck, a resident of Khatlon, lost control of the car while moving from Khujand to Dushanbe, as a result of which there was a collision with 10 cars.
Rescuers of the Department of Specialized Search and Rescue Services of the CoES were mobilized to the scene of the accident, told Umeda Yusufi.
" Arriving at the place, they pulled out the car, as well as the personal belongings of the passengers from the car that had fallen into the cliff, and handed them over to the owners", - said Yusufi.
Currently, the Dushanbe-Khujand road is operating normally.
Another tragic road accident occurred on Tuesday near the village of Khuf in the rural jamoat of Pastkhuf, Rushan district, GBAO.
While driving from the territory of Rushan district to the village of Khuf, the driver also lost control of the vehicle. The car flew into a 100-150-meter cliff.
The accident killed everyone in the car - the driver and three passengers.
Currently, employees of the internal affairs bodies continue to establish all the circumstances of accidents.
"The Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of Tajikistan, repeatedly addressing the drivers, earnestly asks them to comply with the traffic rules, take into account the specifics of the mountain road and not endanger their lives and the lives of those around them.", - summarized Yusufi.
