Newly appointed Tajik ambassador to Uzbekistan presents copies of his credentials to Uzbek foreign minister
A newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Uzbekistan Abdijabbor Rahmonzoda yesterday presented copies of his credentials to Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov.
Ambassador Rahmonzoda was delighted to have the opportunity to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
After the ceremony of presentation of the copies of credentials, the sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, as well as international and regional issues being of mutual interest, according to the Tajik MFA information department, according to the Uzbek MFA..
Uzbek Foreign Minister reportedly congratulated Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda on his appointment and wished him success in implementation of his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.
It was reportedly noted during the meeting that thanks to the political will of the leaders of the two fraternal countries, the Uzbek-Tajik relationships today are developing dynamically, embracing new directions and filling with practical content.
Meanwhile, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon yesterday had a telephone conversation with his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, the parties discussed issues related to preparations for the upcoming high-level meeting and he next meeting of the joint commission for trade and economic cooperation that is kicking off in the Uzbek capital today.
They reportedly also discussed a number of regional issues being of mutual interest.
