MIR to organize journey to Tajikistan for 27 tourist groups from the United States
Citing the Tourism Development Committee under the Government of Tajikistan, Kovar news agency said on April 6 that Tojiddin Jourazoda, Chairman of the Tourism Development Committee has had a virtual meeting with Douglas A Grimes, President of MIR Corporation and Annie Lucas, Vice-President of MIR Corporation.
Yelena Son, Executive Director AmCham Tajikistan, and top managers of a number of Tajik tour agencies have participated in the meeting.  
It was reportedly noted during the meeting that 26 groups of American tourists are expected to visit Tajikistan in the near future. 
Jourazoda briefed on development of the tourist infrastructure in Tajikistan, development of e-visa electronic system and functioning of information centers in Dushanbe and other cities, noting that the quality of service has improved in the country.  
Douglas A Grimes, for his part, reportedly noted that groups of American tourists intend to visit Tajikistan.
The parties expressed hope that the COVID-19 situation in the world will be manageable and will gradually stabilize.  
The sides also discussed issues related to regularly holding joint webinars on popularizing tourism opportunities and providing additional information about tourists regions in Tajikistan, visa system, improvement of infrastructure and logistics, etc.
