Rahmon orders to minimize impact negative of pandemic on Tajikistan’s economy
President Emomali Rahmon yesterday held a meeting to discuss issues related to providing food security, combating an outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country and preparing the country’s economy for winter period, according to the Tajik president’s official website.  
Deputy Prime Minister Davlatshoh Gulmahamdzoda, Minister of Agriculture Amonullo Salimzoda, Minister of Energy and Water Resources Usmonali Usmonzoda and Health Minister Jamoliddin Abdullozoda reported to the president on these issues.  
The head of state ordered heads of regions to minimize the negative impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the country’s economy and ensure the regular operation of industrial enterprises.  
He reportedly also ordered heads of regions to take care of poor families and orphans.
Rahmon ordered the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population (MoHSPP) to control observance of sanitary norms in the country and provide hospitals with medicines, the Tajik president’s official website said.
