The number of COVID-19 cases increasing in Uzbekistan
Russia’s news agency Sputnik reported on April 12 that according to data from Uzbekistan Health Ministry, more than 100 new cases of a novel coronavirus (COVID-19) were registered in Uzbekistan in the past 24 hours, bringing a total number of the registered COVID-19 cases in the country to 833.
66 patients have reportedly recovered.    All of them are undergoing rehabilitation after the treatment. 
Four coronavirus-linked deaths have been reported in Uzbekistan as of afternoon of April 12.  
Nearly 90,000 people have been quarantined in Uzbekistan, according to Sputnik.   
Meanwhile, Gazeta.uz says 98 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Uzbekistan on Saturday and 66 other COVID-19 case were reported in the country on Sunday, bringing a total number of COVID-infected people in Uzbekistan to 833. 
Uzbekistan’s chief sanitary inspector Nourmat Otabekov says 112 people have undergone medical treatment for COVID-19 at the hospital of the Institute of Virology and 108 other people have undergone medical treatment for COVID-19 at the clinic of the Institute of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases as of afternoon of April 12, according to Gazeta.uz.  
People infected with COVID-19 have been identified in all regions of Uzbekistan.  They are reportedly undergoing medical treatment in Tashkent and eight other infectious diseases clinics in the regions.
Uzbek authorities introduced a mandatory self-isolation regime in Tashkent.  All persons over the age of 65 are forbidden to leave their homes.
