There will be not quarantine for coronavirus in Tajikistan’s schools
Spring break will not be extended in Tajikistan as not a single case of coronavirus has been detected in the country.
“The education schedule has not changed and classes will begin on April 1,” Ehson Khoushbakht, a spokesman of the Ministry of Education and Science, told Asia-Plus in an interview.
He further added that the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population had not yet approved the possible extension of spring break in schools and universities.
Meanwhile, classes at universities began on March 26.
Tajikistan has not reported any confirmed coronavirus cases yet.
However, the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population, Said Umarzoda, on March 26 held a meeting of the republican commission for prevention of the coronavirus infection to discuss further measures to prevent the spread of a novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Tajikistan.
The commission has reportedly decided to set up a group of volunteers in case of announcement of quarantine in the country.
