War with Iran will be the beginning of the end of the United States, says Tajik veteran politician
Tajik veteran politician Shodi Shabdolov considers that underestimation of military potential of Iran may become the beginning of the end of the United States.
“The Administration of U.S. President Donald Trump and the current ‘owner’ of the White House himself by their actions, statements and accusations of objectionable states and politicians resemble the crazies who say what they want without fear of the consequences of their actions and statements,” Shodi Shabdolov told Asia-Plus in an interview.
Commenting on the growing tensions between the United States and Iran after the assassination of Iran’s General Qasem Soleimani in Iraq, Shabdolov said, “Apparently, Trump and his Administration today are not well aware of military, political and economic power of Iran.”
“Scoring easy victories over regimes of Muammar Qaddafi in Libya and Saddam Hussein in Iraq, the United State apparently underestimates the power of Iran and this underestimation may become the beginning of the end of Washington itself,” Tajik veteran politician noted.
Shabdolov considers that after assassination of General Qasem Soleimani, Iranian cabinet’s decision to reduce commitments to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has approximated an official Tehran than ever to the creation of weapons of mass destruction.
According to him, today’s military and economic power of Iran can successfully counter threats of the United States even without the nuclear weapon, while Trump’s claim that he would target Iranian cultural sites sets up the civilized society of whole world, including the United States, against his politics.
“I'm an optimist by nature and I believe that smarts that be will solve the current crisis without war, but if it occurs, everyone, including Central Asia, Caucasia, the whole Middle East, Russia and China with their investments in the region’s economy, the United States and its allies around the world, will suffer from it,” Shabdolov stressed.  .
He is convinced that the United States will not have many allies in the war against Iran.  “Many sober-minded politicians in Berlin, Paris, Tokyo, London, Moscow, Beijing realize that the war between the United States and Iran is a trip to nowhere, it is threat not only to security of Washington and Tehran but it is a threat to all of humanity,” Shabdolov added.
