Four Police Killed in Balkh, Including Commander
Kalamuddin, the police commander of Charbolak district in Balkh province, was killed on Wednesday along with three other police, local police confirmed.
Adil Shah Adil, Balkh police spokesman, said the commander died amidst a Taliban attack on the district headquarters and the injured police were taken to 209 Shaheen corps for medical treatment.
Six Taliban were killed, and 4 others were wounded in the clash, he said.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack and claimed five police, including the police commander, were killed.
