Sayed Ziauddin, the principal at Abdul Ghafoor Nadeem High School in Kabul’s PD11 area, was shot and killed in front of the school early Monday by unknown assailants.
The incident occurred shortly after 4 am, as Ziauddin was returning to his home, which is near to the school, relatives said.
“He was out for dinner last night and in the early morning he was returning home and was killed by unknown gunmen in front of the school door."
The motivation for Ziauddin's killing is unclear to relatives.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the incident.
